Hey Batter Batter

Hey batter batter
Don't hit the ball to me
Please don't hit it out to me
I'm enjoying my time on this grass
And I don't even know what out it is

Hey batter batter
Right field doesn't make sense
To a slow kid like me
I can't judge the speed or height
Of pop flies... I can barely see the ball out here

Hey batter batter
I don't want to come in and swing the bat
At fast pitches thrown at my head
The dugout is too hot and not enough shade
So take your time up there at the plate

Hey batter batter
Could you please hit it to the kid in left field
And take the pressure off of me
I just want to get through this game
without dropping the ball.
